Is there a recommended minimum distance that one is suppose to use on the M80 so it does not distort the picture on a 36" television? Right now I am at 2.5' without any problems and was wondering if I this is normal, or if maybe I have another problem. Also with my VP150 its quite odd, if I have the unit directly on top of the television, flush with the front edge I get distortion, moving it back a couple inches and all is well

M80's are video shielded and you can place them as close to the TV as possible. However, it has been suggested at times in this forum that they should be around 6 feet apart to improve the sound stage. They should also be at least 18" from the back wall. You can experiment on speaker placement and choose the one that sounds best for you. At least you do not need to worry about video shielding.

VP150 is also shielded but some TV's could be more sensitive than others. I remember some VP150 owners who encountered the same problem and solved it the same way you did.

Thanks for the reply. After moving them around and what not, I could never get the M80's near the monitor at all. The closest I could ever get was approximately 2.5 feet away from the monitor. Axiom emailed me back as well regarding this problem, it seems to be dependant on the tube/television. As for the VP150 I just moved it back a couple inches on top of the monitor and all is well.

I guess my monitor is just overly sensitive. In case your curious its a Monivision 38"/36"viewable monitor that is HTPC driven. Axiom did mention that Toshiba's seem to be overly sensitive as well.
