I recently purchased an NAD C350 integrated amp, a pair of M22's, and an EP125 sub for use in my small apartment. I listen to all types of music (on CDs and DMX) and I have my TV sound running through this system as well (digital cable box). The NAD C350 has no sub out connection (2 channel only). My question is, since I can connect the sub either 1) with an RCA connect to the amp pre out or 2) with speaker wire to the sub and then to the speakers, would one method yield better sounding results than the other and are there any other advantages to using one method over the other? I'm mainly concerned with music listening. Thanks in advance for you advice.

intheburgh, I have the same situation, except that I am using a 12 year old Luxman integrated amp. I agree with ravi on the pre-outs, but the only drawback is that they are a fixed level output. (The sub's volume will not be controled by the volume knob on the amp). Hense, when the phone rings, and you turn down the amp, the sub will continue to pound away. It is really a pain for day to day listening, but I think the benefits are worth it.

I think I'm developing an addiction.

Hi real80sman,

That is very odd. The "Record Out" (or tape out) is normally a fixed level, bypassing the preamp's controls, including the volume control, but a true pre-out amp-in set of RCAs should go through the volume control in the Luxman's preamp section. Are you certain you are using the final left-right pre-out RCA outputs?
