I finally did it! After lurking around for 18 months, I made the big purchase last night and today.

Last night I called Joe and ordered the following:

M22s (FO)
QS8s (FO)
VP150 (FO)
EP175

Today I went to a local store and bought a Denon AVR-2803 for $650.

Now I am in wait mode.

I failed to mention how amazing the Axiom staff has been:

Amie: setting up my Affiliate account; she responds to email with lightning speed.

Joe: helping me when he took my order.

Noreen: calling me back several times before and after my order to answer my questions and keep me informed.

Even after reading so much about how great Axiom's customer service/support is, I am still surprised.

Simply "AMAZING!"

David

Clemmons,
Welcome to the Axiom family! I hope you enjoy your Axioms as much as I and many other "Axiom fanatics" here do. BTW, good choice on the receiver. I've had a Denon 3200 for 6 years and have been very pleased with it.

Happy listening!

David,

Congrats on your purchase! Within a week or two, it will be my turn to order the Axioms...

Please post your impressions when you finish setting them up!

Cheers!

The speakers are in my living room.

From Ontario to Texas (over 2,100 kilometers) in slightly over 12 hours. Now that's fast!

I will post my review as soon as I can.

Nice. I too, just made my purchase (although not as big- only the M22s for now) after reading about/drooling over the Axioms for about a year. Originally became acquainted with Axioms in a review of the M3ti, and decided to make the jump to the M22 based on the reviews and opinions.

In wait mode til Wednesday...

Eric,
You won't be disappointed. I got my M22s about a week ago and found myself listening to a lot more music and watching less TV. I haven't even popped in a DVD yet (partially because of NCAA basketball tournament). But I have dusted off a lot of CDs I hadn't listened to in months.

YUP. You're certainly right, fmowry.
Wednesday came, and the Axioms are now sitting in my living room. I had waited a year to buy these, and having never owned a REAL set of speakers before, I was ready for them. Couldn't have made a better choice, especially for the price. Yes, I could see where a sub joined in would make the range more full, but for now the M22s alone will do very nicely. I can't believe people pay $1000 for mass market speakers when you can get something better for so much less.

I had bought an Arcam amp a couple months back, and when paired with my old speakers (some 70s Realistic tiny bookshelves), there was practically no treble and no bass. You could tell there was some presence in jazz vocals that couldn't come through a normal mass market Sony system, but actually the Realistic spkrs matched better with that mass market Sony (emphasized bass and treble, scooped mids). Plugging in the Axioms was an entirely different ballgame. The highs come through wonderfully- the Arcam warms them up nicely so that they're not too overpowering, the bass is nice and tight, and the midrange is sweet and present. Amazing.

Thanks a ton to the Axiom staff for the prompt service, and to the board for all the reviews and opinions I've read here- they've certainly helped me to pick out some amazing speakers! I am indeed a happy camper.
