do you have Patricia Barber's Companion? The drum solo on track 3

do you have a fortnight in Paris? The drum solo on track 9

I want discs with more of those. lot's of those. only those. any recommendations? I'm looking for good beats, well recorded percussions.

Rush - Exit... Stage Left: Track 3

And Yim Hok-Man - Poems of Thunder (chinese percussion), Track one - best subwoofer demo out there.

I use the drum solo from that Rush song (YYZ, live recording) when I audition speakers. Neil Peart is amazing to listen to, and the drums cover the spectrum from bass to treble. Good speakers capture the texture of the drummming.

As for the Yim Hok-Man, if you do not have this CD yet, get it. It is immaculately recorded and mastered, and will wow you with dynamics.

You may want to check out Blue Man Group - Audio if you're looking for an impressive demo-type percussion recording.

Here's another: Kodo & Isao Tomita - Nasca Fantasy. The Taiko drumming will definitely give your sub a workout and the Peruvian flutes will highlight the clarity of Axiom...

Here is a brief synopsis: Nasca Fantasy

Very, very cool.

The Sheffield Drum Record (also available on CD) is the best I have heard.
