Very nice setup!!!!

How do you like that Denon 4802! What can you tell me both pro and con about it?

Thanks TNT ,and Bernard

I am really impressed with the 4802r. But let me say first, if crutchfield
did'nt have such a great price on it, I would not have chosen it. I had
a budget in mind and my two "dream" choices were the denon and
HK 7300. When i saw the price online at crutchfield, it was a done deal
I saved well over 1200 cdn buying my receiver online.

There are a few cons, for example the remote could have been of a little
higher capability/quality.
Also when using the remote to make changes the TV has to be on!
The display on the front does not show every command you're punching in.
(Eg. changing the crossover setting) So when I'm listening to music and
want to scroll through the options I have to turn on my Television. (not good)

This IS my first "real" system, so I also may be ignorant to any other cons.
My last system consisted of a 27" RCA and a JVC mini-stereo, so I'm about
as newbie as you can get but I'm learning (thanks to the fine members on this
forum)

I think having the option of setting cross-overs to different channels would
be a good feature. I would like to set my VP100 at 100 while keeping my
fronts at 60 and my QS-8' s at 80. (I'm not sure if this is even a
feature on any receiver) I still have to get myself an SPL to set my room
properly, but it seems pretty good to my untrained ear.

For music it definitely has enough snot for my little room. I would really like to
compare it to the HK 7300 for music.

A little side-bar here The new Billy Idol cd is REALLY good (and
having Steve Stevens back on guitar makes it that much better!)
Sounds awesome on the Axioms!!

For movies, this receiver has all the bells and whistles THX-ULTRA,
DPL2, DTS ah hell here's a link, the prices seem a little high....
