Why is it that a person with 40 posts and a person with 300+ posts are both called Addicts?

I'm wondering if the names and numbers to achieve should be reviewed. Something like 0, 100, 500, 1000, 5000 seems more appropriate....

Of course, I want everyone to be happy with their names, so I'll take suggestions. But I think it's nice that the names change after 10 posts - Otherwise you get people coming up with entire threads just to build up their numbers. (And how many of you are blushing?) So I think we should do 0, 10, 25, 50, 100 and then big leaps. JMO

Do we really need to have this conversation every 2 weeks? Surely every other month is sufficient.

Away with your antiquated caste system. I am not defined by my number of posts... we shall throw off the shackles of an oppressive... oh, hell... my torch went out... you can't have a good rebellion without a torch... or a sword... anyone got a sword? That's a light saber, you dweeb, I'm talking about something majestic here...

... oh never mind.

We could name them after mega-posters . . . you start off as an Ian, move up to an Amie . . . through all the regulars . . . eventually, you're a . . . Spiffnme? KCarlile? Who's #1?

PMBUKO, but then your messages are limited to three sentences and no more than 10% can make sense.

I think I'm #2 and Spiff is #3, but we trade off. Peter's the undisputed...

Let's just please change it to something different or end further converstation about it. This does seem to come up quite often, but hasn't changed yet. Perhaps beyond 100, we get 300, 500, 1000, 1500, 2500, 3500, 5000 ( I think that takes care of everyone, doesn't it?)

Another vote for Pmbuko for El Presidente. I am still laughing about his "confusing the electrons in my receiver for improved performance" post.

I'm guessing that if we just took care of the names which appear twice this topic would never come up again.

I agree with Amie that having the name change early is important. I was really tickled when I became a frequent flyer long before I had even half a clue about HT

Since it looks like we will be getting a full 5 channel system complete with M80's AND an EP-600, look for a higher count here soon.

Craig, will you be running five m80's all around like Tharkunland or only two with a vp center and qs surrounds? I'm definitely interested in your thoughts about the Axiom subwoofer for sure.

WOW! I'll be VERY interested to hear what you think of the EP600. What are you getting in addition to the M80s and EP600? Are you getting them in oak finish?

It will be two M80's with the VP-150 and QS-8 surrounds. Well ... unless Ian has other ideas.

Yes, It is - and so we don't interfere with Ian and Amie's GTG, I think we will shoot for early November.

Look for a few more surprises before then, too...

As a matter of fact, Amie is sending my wife samples of the Buffalo Oak and the High Gloss Light Cherry, along with her recommendations for the proper grills for each.

It turns out Amie and Susan (my bride) share a love for decorating. How cool is that ? ...

Actually, what looks like teasing is my not having anything definite from a few people. For example, will a pair of the new 650's arrive from AV123 ? I did mention that early November is as LATE as we should go, too. Otherwise, snow could be a problem.

and "Mrs." Spears ?

Understandably snow could be a problem late in the year being out on the eastern side of the country. I wasn't aware that the 650's would be part of the comparison. Are they? I only know they've been recently announced along with the 450's but wasn't sure when they would be ready.

Richey, You didn't need to delete that last post ...

And I am not sure of the 650's will be done or not - I am pretty sure there will be a couple surprise speakers here.

And hopefully a surprise guess or two !

LOL! I have no doubts whosoever about a surprise "GUESS" (or two) being present! But, I hope there will be some surprise "GUESTS" as well.

(Laughing "WITH," not "AT." I LOVE a good typo that results in a malapropism.)

What makes you think you could change it if you want. After a half hour, posts are not editable (Is that a word? My brain keeps hearing edible. After a half hour, posts are not edible either. Boy I gotta get some more sleep )
