My resolve is fading fast. I was putting money aside to get the M3s in a custom finish, but at this price on the M40? Axiom, you make it hard for me to save money!

Somebody keep me from hitting the purchase button. . .

Yup, this would be the time to swap out the M3s as surrounds, for M40s....if only I could cross them at 40hz....

I remember poor old Uncle Charley a few years back(or was he a cousin; or someone elses cousin?-no matter)

When he was alive he was a louse, a real looser.

then he passed on.

What a peach of a guy......

My trigger finger is getting awfully itchy. All night I contemplated the differences between the soon to be legendary M40s and my M22s. I'm not saying I'm going to do this, but just for sake of argument, if I were to order a pair of M40s, use them as my fronts instead of my M22s just what would I be gaining. From descriptions I have read with the M40s I gain bass and a more pleasing sound experience. However, I stand to lose soundstage, clarity/detail and an argument with the Mrs. Have I left anything out? This is one tough decision or is it?? Still after all these years.

... and I just bought M3s (wanted M40s but didn't have the budget). Think I'm going to go cap in hand to Axiom and see if I can trade up...

I see M40s as fantastic standalone music speakers but for a pure HT system with a sub I would probably lean towards M22s. For a mixed-use system it would depend on the music/movie mix... I still prefer floorstanders w/o sub to bookshelves with sub for music in most cases.

Went ahead and hit the purchase button last night! My intention is to use them as standalones for music. Good call, bridgman.

Soon to find out about the Axiom sound.

I don't suppose there is any chance of that decoder ring, eh Mark? Only for the M60 group. . .
