ok, as you can see, i dont have many options, i was thinking of mounting them on the couboard above the bed, and on the closet door, however that would be a big distance difference from side to side (the one on the coubard would be 12" further) i know i can just adject the levels..but i was wondering what are your opinions? also my current surrounds are mounted in the ceiling at an angle:

would that work for the qs-8s too?

I would mount them on the back wall pretty much directly across from the M60s. QS8s work pretty much anywhere, but I suspect they would sound best there.

hmm that would be ok, except for on the side where the closet is, the closet door might hit it, and i would only be like 1' away from the closet would that screw up how the tweeter disperses the sound?> thnx for the suggestion

Darren, ditto Peter's suggestion if you can be careful with the closet door. Sitting very near the back wall there's little difference between surrounds on the back wall separated as widely as possible and surrounds on the side walls near the back wall. A foot of separation from the closet should allow enough "bounce room".

Assuming two doors on the closet. Mount on the door away from the wall. Closer to the center of the closet rather than centered on the door. The bracket mount should suffice. Mount the other 8 on the opposite wall at same position, Mount them about a foot above ear level, or a little more. They should be a little forward of your listening position. Adjust channel levels to compensate for distance.
IMHO,
Bug

make sure you allow enough room for the top driver to breath, don't place it to close to the ceiling...

I think that you're best bet is on the wall behind you. Don't worry about that first reflection on the right side. There's enough dispersion in the speaker that it won't be adversely affected by this. Also, you could place a doorstop type device under or above the right side Q to prevent the door from banging it.
If your concern is being able to open the closet door, then, have you considered removing the closet door?

Does the front of the closet have an area above it which is not part of the doors, ie a fixed part between the top of the door and the ceiling ? If so, that would be a great place for on QS and the other could be ceiling mounted at a similar distance.

Wow... do you have tall doors or a low ceiling ?

Ahh, yes. OK, another vote for "back wall and a door stop" or you could just put a rubber bumper on the right hand QS8

Can just get one of these... I've got two of them in the house, one keeps the ensuite door from hitting a mirrored closet door, the other keeps the bathroom door from hitting the tub.
