I recall someone on these forums was a home furnace and a/c specialist in Canada. Does anyone recall who that was?

EDIT: nevermind, a quick search for 'furnace' revealed i was remembering real80sman

Did your air go out chess? Today would not be the day!

It looks like the Peg is going to be in the 90's today. We are supposed to hit 93 today. Add in the humidity and we will be over 100.

Speaking of the weather, I'm told this picture was taken right around my in-laws house two nights ago.

If you still need some help, just send me a PM. AC is not a forte of mine, but I’m pretty good with heating systems. If I can’t figure it out, I have a buddy who runs a heating service / install department who absolutely loves figuring out “unique” problems.

Actually the questions are more about the types, brands that exist.
Since i'm in Canada, there may also be variations in the brand names available or installed here so i needed a pro from this country.
Thanks for the offer though. The next time my pilot light goes out and i can't remember whether to prime and turn or turn and prime...

OKY-DOKY……

If you’re looking at a boiler, I’d go with Buderus. http://www.buderus.net/

They are increadibly efficient and last forever. Easy to tune, quiet, and easy to clean / repair. You can’t even cold shock them due to the ceramic/cast water sides. Made in Germany.
