My 'Hiding technology' Theatre..

Hi Everyone!

(sorry if my English is not perfect.. I’m from Quebec City... :))
This is my images gallery of my Axiom Speakers... You can see on the pictures my ‘Hiding Technology setup’, my ‘Tv setup’ and my ‘Cinema setup’.
For my equipment, I have the M80, VP150, QS8, M2, EP500 and EP125, all in V2 except my ep125 in V3.. (Walnut real wood finish) Also, I added the Axiom logo on each cab directly on the wood.. and with the gold hardware, they look very cool!!

Just a little tip... If you have a receiver with a separate power amp and you want to warm your sound, try the Grant fidelity B-283... Since I have add this little magic box between my Yamaha RX-V3900 and my Emotiva XPA-3, I REALLY love my sound!! And it’s only 125$! ( http://grantfidelity.com/site/catalog/52/tube_processors ) I bought a second one for my center and my subs.. Another good canadien company as Axiom... smile

Yes, very nice Steph! very clever to have the screen come down over the TV like that!

Hi Steph,

Thanks for sharing the pictures. The Axiom gold logo on your speakers really looks nice; you did a great customizing job.

Merci Stéphane !

Great set up! You've obviously put a lot of love (and some $$$) into that little hobby of yours. The results are pretty awesome! I especially love the hidden projector box and the drop down screen.

How do those 2 M2s sound so close behind the couch, though? I would fear that they would be distracting so close behind your ears.

Thanks again for sharing.

Adrien

Thanks for your comments my friends!

For my projector screen in front of my tv, if it's a good idea, this is especially an economic idea.. lol! I don't have the money to buy 2 independants sound systems frown

Adrien, thanks for your comment about my projector box! But I did not spent a lot of money.. All my furniture in front of my living room, the tables and my projector box are all home made..
For the M2, to be honest, i don't really know :s because the only movie I saw who use my M2 it's Lord of the Ring in 6.1.. And the sounds from the surrond back in this movie
are subtle... Also, the sofa is very high and the M2 are placed over our heads

smile

Steph, les stands pour tes surrounds sont fabriqués par axiom? Moi aussi je viens du Québec, j'étais à Qc City il y a deux semaines.

J'adore tes meubles (tables) c'est toi qui les a faits?

Steph. You are very welcome! Have you tried any of the surround decoders that let you use your 6th and 7th speakers (like Neo:6 or Dolby Pro Logix IIx)? They do an admirable job extracting surround sound information and steering it to those rear surround channels. Your Rx-v3900 has both of these decoders.

I use the Pro Logic IIx decoder almost all the time, even with 5.1 mixes, to get those rear speakers activated.

A+!
Steph
