Hello,
I'm wanting to purchase the M60, 4 qs8's and a vp150. I have a velodyne 12" sub already, so I will not need a sub. I am upgrading from 2 cerwin 15" tower speakers, cw center and infinity bookshelfs for surrounds. I recently purchased a open box buy on a Onkyo thx901 and want to upgrade my sound. Will this be a good setup? And how long will it take to get them if I order today?
Thx,
nc1

Hello nc1

Great setup!! I had a similar system (M60 like fronts, QS8 sides, M2 backs, Gigantic Klipsch KLF C7 center, Velodyne 10" sub and Onkyo TXDS797 THX). Sounded spectacular.

I then added a second sub (SVS 20-39) and outboard amplification - Onkyo M-504 2 channel for the front L/R speakers, and an Anthem PVA-5 for the rest, used the 797 as a processor. Unbelievably good!!!

Your Onkyo 901 is a flagship product with powerful internal amplification and nettune capability. It also has a terrific front end, so if you want to use it solely as a processor down the road with outboard amps, you'll be shining.

As to the M60/QS8/VP150 combination, you have stumbled onto one of the great bargains in spectacular music reproduction art and technology - Axiom speakers.

My advice? Order them today and ENJOY THE MUSIC (and the movies)

Thanks for the replies. I cannot decide if I want the m60's or m80's. How much different do they sound? I just don't want to get the upgrade bug after I purchase a pair. With the receiver I have, would it make a difference?
THx,
Ned

From what everyone says the M60 sounds identical to the M80 with the exception that the M80 will play louder.

I kinda had the same choice when i bought my speakers and to me it was like. im spending this amount and for a lil bit more i can get the ones i really want. well.. i ended up with the M80's
