OK the subject line is extreme but this announcement does inspire the question... Is Sony paying Warner to release BD movies weeks ahead of HD-DVD?
We all know that supposedly, HD-DVD is much easier to produce content for but yet a quote from High Def Digest reads...
"Thanks to some promotional materials being shipped to retailers ahead of the official announce, we can tell you that the Blu-ray edition of the $200 million-plus grossing sci-fi smash will hit stores March 18 (day-and-date with the standard-def DVD), to be followed three weeks later by the HD DVD on April 8."This will be a big seller on all DVD formats so it has me thinking, that's all.
