Anyone seen "The Mechanic" with Jason Statham? There is a couple of scenes where he is playing an LP on what looks to be a high end turntable connected to a high end tube amp. Not my cup-o-tea but I thought some of the purists on here might appreciate.

Rob, I'd hardly term someone using such obsolescent audio technology a "purist".

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

purist, n, (ca. 1706): one who adheres strictly and often excessively to a tradition.

It was insolent and impudent, not puerile.

Do you have a penchant for pleonastic prose?

Succinct or not, it's never prose. It's too neoplastic.
