Good Movie.

The story is pretty good. The acting is very good, with Andy Serkis being excellent and deserved an Academy Award. Daniel Craig did not do a bad job but he was not a stand out.

The animation may not be everyones favorite style, but the detail is incredible and the action is non stop. The imaginations of the animators and storytellers are unparalleled.

I did not think I was going to like this movie but I did. It is missing something that keeps it from being one of the best adventure movies ever and I am not sure exactly what that is. I am going to simmer on this one and watch a few more times. Maybe I will learn to love it and not just like it. This movie may have long legs and may some day be considered a classic.

Interesting point. The movie only did about 77 million here in US. I thought it "bombed". But that was only 20% of the money it grossed. The rest came from oversees.

When my family came out to visit me a couple weekends ago, they brought that movie with them for my niece and nephew to watch. Sadly, they opted to watch "Mr. Popper's Penguins" instead of Tin Tin.

I opted for a nap.

I will add "The Adventures of Tin Tin" to my Netflix queue.

And I'll add "Mr. Popper's Penguins" to mine.

It's porn, right?

With the sound the penguins make, you'd think it was some kind of horrible stag film.

So, the penguins sound like deer?

Saw this in the theatre and thought it was really good. I wonder if there will be sequel?
