I really like the Cambridge Soundworks Surround 2 5.1 for my rear surrounds (smaller, white, and waf issues) and was wondering if these would match up ok with Axiom M3ti's and Axiom Vp-100 for the fronts?

Hi Rick,

Cambridge speakers are decent for the money, but they don't have the neutrality that Axiom speakers exhibit overall. Keep in mind that when you mix different brands, there will always be some tonal mismatching, but it's usually less critical in the surround channels. You'll likely notice it but accommodate the timbral inconsistencies for a while, because the multi-channel home theater is such a seductive experience, we set aside our critical faculties. Eventually, you may become really dissatisfied with the timbral mismatching, and want to improve things.
