Hi every one. I recently purchase an HK AVR 335. Next step is some new speakers. I have the EP125 sub and a JBL center speaker (EC25). I'm planning on buying 2 M50 and 4 QS4 to go 7.1. My HT is 14 X 16 and i mostly use my HT for movie's.Is it a good choice? Any other suggestion.

Thank's

Hi Ghis.

Are M50s a good choice? In My Opinion, they are absolute Gems!

I have not heard ANY of the other Axiom speakers, other than the M50s and M3s, and while the M2, M22, M60 and M80 can more correctly be categorized as the "Axiom" sound, the M3, M40 and M50 surely have their place in the sun as well.

Anyway, in my opinion, the M50 are an excellent choice!!
Rich.

I think it's a good choice. You could go with smaller speakers in your room but I think you will be happier overall with the 50s because they can handle all of the upper bass and let the EP125 concentrate on the lowest notes.

The HK is a great choice there because of the very flexible bass management.

Depending on how your room is laid out you might want to consider something like M2s for the rear speakers (if you have some distance from listening position to the rears) but if the rears are going to be close to where you sit then the extra QS4s are definitely the way to go.

I haven't heard the JBL center speaker so I don't know how close it will be tonally to the Axioms... anyone ?
