Well after a long time of saving up and then deciding on a center channel, I put my order in not 10 minutes ago! I've gone with the VP150 instead of M44's and four QS8's surrounds . It will definitely be interesting to see how the QS8's compare to my current four Paradigm monitor 9's. Hopefully those good old friends of mine will help me hook them up this weekend. It really sucks having speakers sitting in a box waiting for help . I'll keep you guys updated and take some pictures!

Well here are some pictures of the newbies still in the box . Two questions regarding QS8's placement. First, should the side and rear speakers all be placed at the same height, and secondly which is a redundant question in the forum but how far down from the ceiling should they be placed? Also thirdly :)can anyone recommend placement/setup for my VP150? It has to be placed on top of my television. Again I would like to thank Axiom for delivering my speakers on the same day I ordered them, subsequently receiving them the next day!! It is consistent courteous service like this that will keep me a long time happy customer! Thanks [img] [/img] A picture of the care that Purolator took when delivering my speakers [img] [/img]

In the likelihood that I won't have studs to drill into for the surrounds, has anyone used generic drywall plugs to mount the QS8's to the wall?
Thanks

Ideally the Q's should be all the same height and ideally about 2-3' above your ears at your listening level. I have my Q's about 3-4" from the ceiling with no ill effects. The Qs's are very forgiving with their placement. I am not sure about your Vp150 question are you looking for a mount? otherwise just set the VP on the top and angle it down towards your listening position.

I wouldn't recommend generic plugs. Use either toggle bolts, or EZ Anchors (available at most hardware stores). Plenty or forum members, including me, swear by these.

Cam, I used molly bolts to anchor my QS8s to the wall. Like Peter said, stay away from plugs--otherwise you could be setting yourself up for disaster.
