From breezing through previous posts I am concerned and not sure what receiver to buy to power M22's VP150 QS4's no sub yet and the fact the VP150 is 6 ohm. In my area the selection and my budget seem to conflict. 60% TV 40% music
My choices so far are:
Marantz SR 5200 $750
Onkyo 494 $550
Yamaha 5560 $775
5550 $650
RXV800 $800
Harman K AVR220 $720
JVC RX 8010VBK $500
Any Comments? Prefer 600-700 Canadian range or 400-500 U.S.
Wonder if they will let me bring them in the store and hook them up? I am awaiting the vast wisdom from the forum

Timberdave
just read the specs on those receivers and see if they can power a 6ohm speaker
I am using a Denon 1602 (for which I paid 700 CAn with tax and an extended 5 year warranty with yearly checkups) at Dumoulin, where you can talk down prices. Some Dumoulin's also sell Axiom speakers, so you can hear them together if the salesperson is nice enough. I am extremely happy with the Denon, and it has all the features that you want in a home theatre or stereo receiver

How about the integra line. You may want to look at the 5.3... just came out. I have the 7.2 with m60's and vp150 and could not be happier.
