I only have a 11x13x8 room right now for HT and have a
Paradigm PDR-10 10" sub. I am thinking of getting a 12"
sub in the future in case I move everything into a larger
room. Who has the best 12" subwoofer in the $600 range,
Axiom, HSU, or SVS? Also, would this be simply overpowering
if I was to use the 12" in my existing room?
Many Thanks,
Tim

i think you will find your best 'bang for buck' deals with an SVS or HSU. both companies offer 12" subs in that price range, ya just need to go look at what they have avail. and it would not be overpowering in your existing room. these subs will have adjustable volume controls, so you can manually set it to match your room size. if you need more, crank it up.. if you need less, turn it down.
good luck in your search, and i hope you can find a sub to suit your needs!

Just out of curiosity, why the fascination with going to a 12in? I run a 12in but given your room size etc, I'm not sure you will get that big a change. If anything look at getting a better 10in. The SVS PB-10-ISD would work fine for you and is under $600.00. If your hooked on going with a 12in however, that same model comes in a 12in version for $599.00.
