Well it is almost a year now and I am about to get my system. WOOT! After reading the GTG results I see that it performed well. So my question is this. Seems in some of the posts people were saying that 2 500s would be nice. For the price point and performance (all ht) what would you recommend?

My original and first thread. Actually it is over a year ago Man I am patient. Must be from bouncing and throwing out guys like all of you

My vote is for 2 500s. Gives you a little versatility. If you have a big room and need the extra SPL, co-locate them (stack them). If you don't need the extra SPL, you can place them on opposite walls in your room to smooth out the frequency response. The most often recommended spots are the middle of front and back walls, or middle of the side walls (one on each wall), but those are only recommendations.

I have been reading that thread and I am still up in the air. Some suggest 2 some suggest 1. Room is dedicated to HT and 4000 sq ft.

Yeah, I have been dealing with the same decisions... I have an EP500, and probably need a little bit more woofage for my 3500 ^3ft leaky room. I have been contemplating returning it for an EP600; there's more power, with slightly better extension. However, it doesn't have the same WAF.

Two co-located EP500's will probably be my choice, paying a little bit more $$$. However, this probably won't happen for a while, until I landscape my barren backyard.

4000 ^3 ft I am not worried about the WAF My system is already paid for. I was just thinking the vp150 over my screen and the ep 600H under it.
