I was just at BestBuy checking out the cables. The DVD Player I will be purchasing is HDMI Capable and the TV is as well.

There were Monster HDMI cables from $60 all the way to $150. They were all 4' long. What could possibly be different between the cables? They had different numbers like 400, 600, 1000, etc...

Also, am I really going to notice a difference if i don't go with Monster Cables for everything?

Thanks

True, those model numbers represent the dollars that Noel Lee was hoping originally that he could get for those 4' HDMI cables. Well, maybe not, but there's no good reason to pay such ridiculous prices for wire when something like this does the job.

If you don't go with Monster for everything the difference that you'll notice is that you have a lot more money left to spend on something that counts.

JohnK is right on the mark here. Monster is to cables what Bose is to speakers... Overpriced for what you get (I thought of some other choice comparison words, but wanted to keep it simple). Stick with a place like Monoprice and you will get great cables for an even greater price... Wait, that doesn't sound right. Great cables for an outstandingly good price!

I used Blue Jeans Cables for V2.0 of my home theater, which are great cables as well, but when I came to the realization that I was going to have to leave my $200 cables in the walls when I moved to V3.0 of my home theater, I didn't want to spend that much again, but wanted to get quality cables. That is when I heard about Monoprice. I am VERY happy with them.
