Hi Everybody,
By now most of you have heard we purchased an Axiom Grand Master System. We are absolutely amazed with this system.
We did somethings that are a little different like mounting the M22's to the sides of the TV and burying most of electronics in the wall behind the TV. The one item that is not buried in the the wall is the Dish Network Receiver. That sits on top of the Sub woofer.
Our Cat has decided that the Dish Network Receiver puts out just the right amount of heat and sleeps on top of it all the time. The other day we were playing a Josh Grogan CD and the bass coming from the Sub was something our cat needed to investigate.
She got her nose right up to the vented area of the sub and each time some bass was coming out of the sub she jumped back as the air from the vent hit her in the face. This happened about 6 times before she decided to turn and walk away. As she did some base came from the woofer and her whole rear end jumped up off the floor. She moved and sat about 10 feet from the sub and waited for the CD to finish before she went back up on top for the Dish Network Reciever.
I have a picture of her sleeping on the Dish Network Reciever which I will post with the rest of the system pictures as soon as I finish the roll of film in the camera and get it developed.

That really made me smile, I can hardly wait to see the photos.
For some reason that I'll never understand both our cats leave all the AV equipment alone.

That also made me chuckle Bobby ... our cat has found a home between the wall and the base of our EP600. No matter how loud or how low the LFEs get she seems to not be bothered in the slightest, cracks me up.

Our dog doesn't like my subwoofer one damn bit.
But she's prewired to be pretty tense.
My daughter is allergic to cats, so my life is blissfully empty of feline scorn.

Tom we have a first cousin to your German Shorthaired Pointer (looks like that's what she is?) so we are very aware, he's a very hyper Weimaranar who loves to sit between the couch and the coffee table ... right under our feet, and is oblivious to the system regardless of the db level.

Hehe that made me laugh reading that. I am a total animal lover and own a cat myself (Rufus). Rufus hasn't quite wrapped his head around the low frequency stuff - when my sub starts pumping bass, he gets tense and stairs toward the door- thinking someone (or something big and scary) is coming up the stairs. He also loves to chew on 12-gauge speaker wire. He doesn't do it so much anymore, but there are numerous teeth marks on my cables. I always found it interesting that cats never chew on power cords- it's like they know there is something in those wires that they shouldn't come into contact with. Typical Rufus: edit: People need to post more pictures in this message board!

>>film...? developed...? Film is really cool stuff. It's like combining an image sensor and a little LCD together on a strip of plastic, so you don't need a computer to view the image. Really high resolution (> 10 MPixel) without the high cost, and can be more light sensitive than a "real" camera. Obviously ahead of its time

I thought that wasn't coming out until next year.
