Hi All,

Ok, so here are the pics. Yes, I know, I need to plug some holes....

When our son woke up this morning his first words were "mouse.. TV?". As soon as he got downstairs he ran into the HT room, sat in his chair and explained that this was his seat, tat was dads seat and the other one is mums seat...

So the next steps are curtains - just a pelmet box with swags and tails. Sheesh this sort of thing is expensive.... We may replace the chairs to have 2 X 2 seaters front and back, but not just yet. WE're also thinking of repainting the walls and roof.

So here are the pics. I know it doesn't look like a days work, but you should've see the obstacles in the walls...

How not to get a haircut..

THANK YOU to everyone for their advice. This has got to be the smoothest upgrade experience I have had (except the obstacles in walls etc).

Once the curtains are done, I will repost pics of the final article.

FYI - the image on the screen is washed out due to the light leakage -even though the bulb in the projector is running at 2,500 hours. A replacement is on the way.

Nice work with a tough room to start with. Are the curtains to cover the windows in place of the blinds or are you going to also cover the walls? If you aren’t going to cover the walls I think you will get a better pop/wow from the image by painting the walls and ceiling a darker colour at least that’s my experience, especially with a screen that big compared to the room size.

Thanks Grunt,

The Swag and tails will compliment the existing blinds and screen. Yes, the plan is to repaint the walls while the pelmet boxes are being swagged and tailed.

Wow, you squeezed a lot of screen in that space.
