I recently added some QS8's to replace my QS4's though I was not expecting there would be much of a difference at the lower listening levels I tend to use. After watching a few movies with them I have realized that they blend so much better than my 4's did. When anything was played from the QS4's I was conscious of the source of the sound. With the 8's this is not the case at all, they just disappear like my M80's do. I have no explanation for why this is since they are mounted in the exact same spot and really the only difference is the physical size and larger mid-woofs. So long story short , I am glad I made the purchase and recommend them to anyone with a mid size room or larger.

Great to hear your thoughts on the QS8's. I know what you mean about the disappearing act. Until last spring I was using Paradigm ADP190's with monitor series towers and center with identical drivers and I thought they blended well. I now have 2 QS8's and Axiom for the front end also and it's a night and day difference. In my room I can now hear rear imaging, actual sound from behind the seating area, and with the front speakers disappearing also.
