Well, time does fly........and I'm coming up on the 4 year anniversary of the purchase of my M60's
I am still amazed at how great they sound...(I'm not going to add "for the money", as many do)
I really made a good call in picking the M60's...they have been perfect for my needs. They still look like new, as well....even after a move from Florida, to Illinois (in their original inner boxes).
I have been listening to an even greater variety of music types, and styles than ever before............and as always, the M60's shine!
This may not be the longest review on the M60ti.....but I wanted to "check in" and let anyone contemplating buying Axiom Speakers (especially the M60'S, Axioms best) that they are a great investment..and they.............last!

Larry, good to hear from you, and great that your still enjoying your 60's. As you know I owned 60's for a couple of years and loved every minuted of them. In fact, when I joined this forum, the 60's were pushed more by forum members than the 80's, with very favorable comments. If I still had my 60's I would be completely satisfied as they are killer speakers.

For some reason now we are over populated with 80's owners, including myself. \:\) At times it appears 60's seem to be getting a little minor bashing lately by the 80's club. Just to let any newcomers know the 60's are excellent high end speakers that diserve their high thrown position at Axiom.

I actually prefer the look of the M60 with the extra cabinet exposed under the grill. The M80 with the grill going right to the floor looks wrong, for the lack of a better word. It was this look and the reports of the 60s sounding the same as the 80s that made me purchase the 60s to begin with. Even though I ended up with the 80s, I still wish they had the same look as the 60s. I used one of the 60s as a center in an experiment and it sounded awesome, way better than anything I have heard before or since as a center. Hmmmm.......remove the fireplace and install a M60 for a center........I would be a dead man.

I agree about the look of the 60s vs the 80s. Until you take the grill off. Not much beats that solid line of drivers... ;\)

That line of drivers is nice, but like you I have kids in the area and the grilles are a must to avert errant balls and blocks etc.

Oh great, all this time and I never noticed the grill going lower on the 80's, and I'm kinda picky, thanks guys.. \:\) I suppose they could make the m80's taller to get the same look, but then we would complain about that. \:\)

Good to hear, Larry. Your M60s should be good not just for four years, but for a lifetime of enjoying beautiful music.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

I can't say enough about the incredible sound my 60s deliver. I have never hear 80's but I can't imagine what I'm missing.

Hmmmm, I will need another set for my TV room, turning pool table room, as the M60s in there will soon move into the new HT room. I'm also thinking second sub from all this chatter lately about duel subs. Can't afford either right now so I must stop thinking altogether.

Damn this forum! I bet everyone of you guys is really one single Axiom paid Psychologist who pretends to be all the regulars on the board in order to plant irresistible, purchase inclinations into susceptible minds like mine.......

One even pretends to be a psychologist as part of the reverse jedi-mind trick.

Conspiracy, I tell you!!!!!!

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.
