A while ago there was a review posted here comparing svs pb13-u with either the ep-500 or ep-600. I can't seem to find the thread, can anyone help me find it? I am stuck with figuring out if I should upgrade my 350 v3 to the 500 or get the svs. If I go with the 500 I can trade in the 350 otherwise I will have to sell it myself.

Tom, the most likely one is the one David linked, although you can search by using "SVS PB13" (including the quotation marks)as the search term.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

If you purchased the 350 within the last year I am sure you will be able to get a good trade in value if you decide to upgrade to the EP500.

Cheers!

My personal feeling is that the PB13 is a tad better for HT use as it reaches lower than either the EP500 or 600. I like the sound the EP series of subs has with music, very smooth and diffuse, it comes down to personal preferrence.

If your room is small the 500 will work great, it reaches a little lower than the 350 and for HT I have found the extra extension to make for better viewing. If your room is getting toward the larger sizes I would then suggest getting the EP600 or PB13-Ultra. If you can afford it the EP800, based on reveiws by those that have, or heard the PB13 and EP600, offers the best of both of them.

thanks guys. LOL I was curious how quickly the ep-800 would be recommended.
