What is the, or your, definition of "reference listening levels"?

to continue BBIBH line of questioning.....
What do you consider loud? Rattle windows? Be able to talk above it?

You need to post more information to get good advice. 8)

You need to consider the amplifier power when determining IF a speaker can play loud. For example, a 20wpc amp driving a speaker will produce less sound than a 70wpc amp driving that same speaker. Now I am not talking about type of sound, as in good quality or noise, simply output. However, if the smaller amp was driving a more efficient speaker, and the big amp was driving an inefficient speaker, the difference becomes less, or negligible.

You have not mentioned your amplifier, but the Axiom line is an efficient speaker design. What is your equipment, for reference to this discussion?

You are choosing a large sub, so Ian may have ideas about stepping up the satellites, or stepping down the sub for proper matching.

BBIBH

That should be sufficient.
