I was just browsing and noticed Axiom's released a ceiling mount for the speakers. I'm guessing this is to lower them a little more from the ceiling and give them some breathing room? I'm using FMB's ceiling mounted and they have worked out wonderfully. I have my QS8's at a 45 - pointed down at the couch, and they work just fine . Just curious about the benifits of the new mount, anyone bought it? - D

I actually suggested this change(an extra piece attached to the FMB) when I purchased my FMB's a few years ago. I felt the FMB's kept the speaker a little too close to the ceiling for my tastes and wondered if the proximity would cause an issue with the sound. I ended up wall mounting mine. I am now very tempted to buy a set of FMCB's and start over!

I can almost hang on them! As long as you have the mount into something very solid(studs etc) it should hold it, no problems.
