Hello Everyone,

I just purchased a Denon AVR-1612 that I connected to my computer. Because of this I was thinking of purchasing either the M2 or M22 speakers to use with my computer for left and right channel. The receiver puts out about 75w per channel. What do you guys think I should go with and is 75w enough to power those M22s?

75W is plenty to power the M22's - especially at close range. I'd go with the M22's as long as space isn't an issue - that will allow for larger room placement in the future if you need to. Both sound very similar to each other so you can't go wrong either way. As you can see from my sig I have M22's L&R mated with an M2 center, makes for a great front sound stage.

I would recommend the M22 for your application. The M22 will offer deeper bass response and output to the room. The M2 though similar in perfomance should have a subwoofer paired with them.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I will eventually get a 8 or 10" powered sub to add to the room. As far as midrange and highend is concerned are there any advantages between the two sets?

Hi spiroh,

On immediate A/B comparison, the M22 is slightly more detailed than the M2, but I've only made those comparisons at normal listening distances of 8 to 15 feet.

Regards,
Alan

Thank everyone, After everyone's responses and what I was leaning towards, I will go with the M22's.
