New to home theater and this is the setup I''m leaning towards due to budget and space limitations. Any advice or opinions?

Unfortunately because of 2 large windows on my back wall there is not much room for surround speakers. I'll either have to place them high in the corners near the ceiling or underneath the window about knee level. Anyway, does this setup seem like it will match correctly?

Good setup, but think of the QS4's in the back if you are 100% sure of keeping VP100 and M3 in front. My recommendation, although more expensive, would be M22 and VP150 for front.

I have the VP100 & M3ti's up front powered by my Harman Kardon AVR520. It sounds beautiful. Best money I spent on my system was getting Axiom speakers.
I have JBL N24's for surrounds so I can't tell you about any QS's. What I plan on doing eventually is to get some Axiom M60's and put the M3's in the rear, getting rid of the JBL's. I think in my space, direct-radiating speakers would be better surrounds. BTW, I'm running a 5.1 set-up.
As far as your receiver choice, I've only heard good things about the Onkyo 600, even though I haven't heard one. MY 2 CENTS: when I was shopping for a receiver, it came down to the H/K and the Onkyo TX-DS797. But, after listening to a side-by-side comparison I bought the H/K on the spot. But get out there and listen to different stuff and make YOUR own opinion.

I recently posted this info before - because I was looking at the new Onkyo receivers. The 600 looks like a good value - but beware - it does not have any phono inputs! If that doesn't matter to you, then I think it would be a good choice for price/performance. If phono inputs do matter, then you will have to try the newer 700 model or the other 696 or 797 models (if you want to stay with Onkyo).
