On a device such as the Squeezebox (or any other device) where there are multiple outputs, can you connect more than one if they are going to separate devices?
i.e. Send the digital output to a primary receiver and the analog output to a second receiver.
Or, is this primarily dependent on the actual device?

I do that with my Yamaha DVD changer, but I don't know if it works on all devices.

Yeah David, that did appear to be of proctological significance.

I'd say it is very much device dependent, but I can tell you that my Squeezebox sends output to both the digital (fiber) and the analogue RCA plugs without having to change anything in the setup. I therefore assume it's going to both at the same time but who knows, it might be auto-sensing. Doubt it though.

I could confirm for you , if need be. A newly purchased model might be different though as they have moved on to the new version with an interactive remote which I constantly have to tell myself that I don't need.

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

I actually purchased a Duet last night to stream from the computer to my stereo. I only hooked up one input but I can test it easily enough.
I can say that the Squeezebox Duet works like a charm right out of the box. Although I will be hard-wired in my new house, the wireless signal works great for now.
