For those interested in sound tests and digital formats (mp3, ogg vorbis, etc.), here is a link you may want to read.

I frown upon the obvious reasoning of their results but if you carefully read their experimental question, they did answer what they set out to do. A second set of tests standardizing the bitrates (as much as possible) would be one more interesting to see.
Incidentally, some low bitrate format comparisons can be found here at the ogg site.

I wonder what they would think about someone like me who rips all my CDs at Q8 or Q9 Ogg Vorbis. Dang, I've only ripped 900 CDs and my 200GB hard drive is already half full!
