Does anyone know if there are big huge differences between the original EP350 and the current model EP350v3. Has anyone had a chance to do a side by side.

yes, it is a completely different subwoofer. The new one is way better than the old one... at least from what I read around here.

I believe that SirQuack has done a comparison between the two and found the v3 to be much, much better. I have a v3, and I will say that although I haven't given it a thorough workout, it is very, very impressive.

The oringinal used to be king of the hill, that was prior to the EP's coming out. The new 350v3 for the price is killer, and comes close to the EP's in many respects. In fact, I like my twin 350v3's for music over my 600.

I had the chance to hear framer2180's original 350 and his v3. There is really no comparison, the v3 is way better at everything. I had brought over a Paradigm DSP3100 for comparison to the 350's and the little Paradigm had more power, punch, overall SQ, than the old 350 did, but it fell short of the EP350v3.

Thanks guys. You saved me. Now EP350v3 and v2 are not that different except the port design, right? V3 and V2 share the same amp and cabinet design.

Nope. Not at all. The amp is different, as is the cabinet. The V3 shares a cabinet with the EP500, as well as the port and woofer.

The 500 has a bit more power, but also the DSP allows it to be flatter down to pretty low (18-100hz +/- 1.5 db compared to 28-150Hz +/- 3db).
