We have just released a new software version that significantly improves network configuration and performance. We recommend that everyone update their unit by opening the WebUI, clicking the gear icon at the top right corner of the page, clicking on System, and then clicking on Check Updates. You will see a pop up box with version 1.097. Just follow the prompts to update your software.

as I posted in another thread, I am unsure whether I set up the AA as an Airplay speaker right on my Iphone 6 Plus or not as I can only connect via the AA hotspot.

As a result, in the System settings of the WebUI, the Check Updates does not connect as I am in hotspot mode, meaning there is no internet connection.

No one at AA has come back to me with support on whether I should forget the AA wi-fi network and try to do the set up all over again.

Since you are able to access the WebUI, have you tried going to the Network menu to add your AA to your home WiFi network? If it appears on the Network page, simply click the Connect box next to the correct network name and then enter your password. After about 10 seconds the blue LED on the front of your AA will stop flashing, indicating that it has connected to your network. You will need to reload the WebUI page, and then you should be able to perform the update.

I managed to update the System to the 7 July 2016 release by connecting the AA via wired Ethernet connection to my router.

My experience was that the after going smoothly after pressing the Update button, the update hung at the 60% mark.

I restarted the Iphone. Still hung.

I then restarted the AA. When connected via AA hotspot, yes the update had been installed.

However, I still can't connect to the home wi-fi network.

No, the home wi-fi network does not appear in the WebUI. Neither does the manually entering the network name and password work.

Should I try forgetting the AA hotspot network before trying the last resort of restoring factory settings?

With another IOS device, my Ipad Air 2, I see the AA hotspot but cannot join. The error dialog says that device is unable to join the AA hotspot network.

I should mention that the physical volume control of the Android tablet I'm using now controls the volume of the AA.......much faster than having to wake up the tablet and controlling the volume on the software slider.

I had the same problem as dyxlesic. It hung at 60% and I had to reboot the AA for the update to finish. Other than that, all was fine.

I had one go through to 100% just fine but the other one Hung and like the others I did a manual reboot when it then updated.

So, I managed to get the Ipad to join the AA hotspot, but once again, I can't connect to my home wi-fi and use the AA for Airplay.

With Ethernet to router, I can.

Can I confirm with anyone reading that the AA is supposed to join a wireless network that allows one to stream music from an Iphone and the Iphone should be able to surf at the same time.

Or the AA is only supposed to be able to stream music from an Iphone via wired and also AA hotspot.
