Version 1.363 is now available for downloading. We suggest doing another manual reboot after the one prompted at the end of the update.

Hey TwistedSpirit,

I've spent several hours today playing playlists and stations using Google Music on BubbleUPnP trying to replicate your problem but didn't have any issues with playback.

Anyone else having issues with Google Music?

I gotta say, this firmware has been much more solid. Android app is consistent, even the start up sound can finally be disabled on my two units. God I hated that sound. I also don't have to tap on a radio station twice to get it started anymore. Keep up the good work, we are getting there! Now just add an EQ! LOL

Mmmm that's weird. I've even uninstalled BubbleUPnP and still have the issue aftewards.
I just have to select in fact any album or playlist, I get "Adding to playlist" and it's doing that forever.

Now when playing locally it works fine...
Rebooted the phone, reinstalled the app.
Note that I'm not in hotspot mode. But on my Wifi, with full signal.

I have no other choice to think that the issue is that new firmware since it was working perfectly fine before.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I can confirm System Version: 1.335 works fine but 1.363 causes this issue.
In fact... it takes FOREVER, at least 1-2 min to load a 14 songs playlist.

UPDATE: Just did a factory reset, then re-upgraded, and the issue still occurs.

Post new update, has anyone else lost volume control with certain applications? I can no longer control the volume of my apple TV volume and windows media player cast to the AA.

The only way I can adjust the volume for WMP is via AA web UI. As for apple TV, the volume control is grayed out in the AA web UI. To un-grey it, I have to stop the playback entirely, go to the Web UI, adjust volume (pure guess work) and replay. This is extremely inconvenient.

EDIT: Same goes for BubbleUPnP...lost the ability to adjust volume with hardware and app. Have to use the AA phone app on my android. Uggggggg. Great timing. Hosting a music night this weekend and I knew better than to dload the update.

Is there a way to revert to the previous version or is the factory reset and original software version my only option?

Hi Metal_Manic,

It is normal for the volume in the AA Web UI to be greyed out when using an Apple device as it is an Apple requirement. You should be able to adjust it with the Apple device in use.

I just rechecked BubbleUPnP and WMP here and not having any problems adjusting volume. It seems you have something else going on. One thing to check is to make sure BubbleUPnP is up to date. Maybe it's possible that you have multiple apps trying to interact with the volume at the same time?

Any more information you can provide would be helpful.

And no there is no way to roll back to the previous version, just factory reset.

Regards,
Steve

Hi. All volume controls worked up until the update. I performed this yesterday afternoon. The bubble version is up to date as well. On occasion I have 2 apps open but not both necessarily activated at the same time and I have noticed interference/brainfreeze of the AA on those occasions. However, everything stopped working with respect to volume control post update. Even when operating one app at a time.

Seems like a couple of gremlins took a break. I'll keep fiddling and hope that such issues no longer persist. THanks for the input.
