Hello

I have an original Kickstarter AxiomAir. I have used it outdoor in many occasions, but never let it get wet. Tomorrow there is a kids pool party, for which I am the DJ (AxiomAir + Amazon music, really simple), and I have doubts how close to the pool/kids I can place the AA.

I remember seeing somewhere an ad/image of an AA close to a lake/beach/pool, just cannot find it now in google.

Can it be on the splash zone of the pool, or have to be totally away?

Thanks in advance

Sorry I missed your message on Friday. The only way water can get to the electronics is up from the bottom so you should be fine in the splash zone put not in a puddle. The handle in the rear is also the port so it is a potential water source to the electronics as well but it is bent up inside so the water would have to be coming up from the bottom to be an issue.

Thanks

Ian

The Youtube video showing the AA N3 shows it on the beach :-) https://www.axiomaudio.com/wireless-speakers

I like Ian's answer but I'd still take a few precautions as the front USB/Ethernet ports are only covered by a small flip door (I'd consider taping them for a better seal). Same would go for the rear input jacks.

Disclaimer: I don't own a AA N3 but have used my Sonos Play:5's for a similar purpose. I don't think the P5's are as water proof as the AA but they have gotten pool splash and beverage spillage on them to no ill effect. Enjoy the portability!
