I’m considering an Air for music listening, will feed it an analogue signal from a good quality dac into the rear 3.5mm input.

Curious if anyone has made use of the sub-out, and any advice on a sub that matches well?

The sub out works great. I tried it with 3 different subs including a cheap Sony and Yamaha and my EP600.

Thank you Mojo, that’s very helpful. If you don’t mind sharing, what input method do you use?

I've used the analog in, USB port, built-in internet radio and BubbleUPnP.

I haven't tried it yet. Honestly i can't see how anyone would want more bass than it already puts out.
In a test run, one of the kids took it to a hockey game warmup. You could hear the thumping all the way up the arena hall in the concession area, a good 50 feet away through multiple concrete walls.
And i had the volume limiter set to 90%.

The Air is truly a marvel in so many ways. The Axiom folks had to learn so many new things to bring it to market - and they're still learning. All that knowledge, tools and process capability is in-house where it can constantly be improved on demand.

I've heard all the other platforms in this market segment and none come close in terms of power and fidelity. Then add the portability on top and there's nothing like it.

Folks at Axiom can peacefully go to their graves knowing they've made a tremendous impact in audio. And there's more coming.

Absolutely.
If you are looking for good sound with some portability, the Air is a solid choice. For kids going to hockey, being able to stuff something in their bag is rather easier than hauling the Air around. We put it into a mid sized backpack (about a 45L bag) which JUST fit, but gave it a bit more portability b/c you could sling it onto your shoulder and pull it out when needed.
The handle is ok for general lifting, but not for carrying into a car, out of a car, down the halls...
It needs its own case (another Axiom future accessory i say!).

Tremendous impact in audio?
I think they have done some novel things for sure. I don't know from an industry standpoint if they get much credit for those innovations, but from all i've read and seen, i certainly think they should be.

And all the manufacturing is in Canada now?
Funny i didn't catch that memo back in the July visit.
Is there nothing done overseas anymore?

Of course they don't get any credit because it's a dog-eat-dog world in consumer audio. Who else has:
a. LFRs (including a centre)? What a terrific idea to take Bose's work from the 60s and bring it to the modern age. Certainly Andrew's work with Mirage and Ian Paisley helped with that one.
b. an optimized family of curves?
c. offers such customization?
d. the loyalty programs and on-line stores Axiom has?
e. a wireless platform for their entire speaker line?
f. a full family of speakers for any size room or budget including multiple centers, surrounds and subs?
g. speakers capable of micro and macro dynamics that the masses can afford?

Recently Ian posted that they have brought all of their manufacturing back to Canada. It took a couple of years to complete the move.

Nice to see Axiom leading the move of bringing at least some manufacturing back to North America.

'Made in Canada' - has a nice ring to it...

I use the Axiom EP150 with the AxiomAir outside for music and movies in our backyard. The EP150 is a decent size and works well to give the movies a little more bass.
