Ian/Andrew,
Before we had to leave yesterday I got both my AxiomAir Transformers connected and was able to play songs from a local library, to both of them in multi room mode. Fantastic!
I was unable to get Spotify Connect to work in multi room mode though and I was wondering if I just missed something obvious?
I created a group, and then selected the transformer that was the master of the group from Spotify Connect, but music only came out of that transformer and nothing out of the slave. Tried multiple times and targeting both players.
Hoping you can give some pointers so I’m prepped for when I get back home.
Thanks,
David
Hi David,
Spotify does not have multi-room available but we are working on a way around this right now
Thanks for the feedback Ian.
I was under the impression that HEOS would allow for this, similar to Sonos.
I see this feature as super critical to be able to leverage multi-room effectively.
Happy to help with any testing
In regards to Spotify Connect on the N2, has anyone come across where it disconnects and shuts off usually after 15-30 minutes of use with the new firmware? I'm using version 2.10.4. No issues with bluetooth or Airplay, just with using Spotify Connect. By the way, I'm loving the N2
rbpalla, where are you using the N2? Is it in the middle of the room or by a wall? How far away do you listen from typically? What's it sound like?
I use it in a home office setting which is about 11x15 room, sitting on a desk and not too close to the wall. It's fills the room nicely. Also, used it outdoors over the summer and it was loud and clear. I've noticed the more I use it, the better it sounds, tight bass and clean tremble. Just a nice overall balance of sound. Everyone's taste in sound is different but this is really nice, especially with all the features with Airplay, Spotify and bluetooth.

I’m still on 2.10.3 and have not encountered this.
Do I upgrade to test.... hmm....

I upgraded one of my Transformers to 2.10.4 and had Spotify Connect playing continuously for a few hours, no issues.
ok thank you. Could be something with my wifi or something timing out then.
Thought I’d mention I signed up for a trial Tidal account and multi-room audio works on Tidal!
Does multi room work with airplay at all?
Or
Is there a way to get an analog audio OUT from an Air speaker that I can run to another speaker for ‘surround sound’?
After the latest update Spotify Connect Multiroom works.
I think you can get multiroom working with AirPlay 2, probably also best on the latest update, although that is still in beta.
Can’t seem to get it working. Multi room only seems to work if I choose music from the web player menu.
Hi Aaden,
Which version of the code do you have?
Hi Aaden,
If you have version 2.12.3 multi-room Spotify should work. Here is a link to a video Andrew did on how it works:

Thanks Ian!
Does it work with airplay streaming from an Apple TV?
I have not done via an Apple TV but have used Airplay 2 via iPhone. You have to enable Airplay 2 on both AxiomAirs to get it to work, then select both of them on your iPhone under Airplay 2.

That's a great point, thank you.
Also note that if you have not updated to the latest software yet (v2.12.4) you should consider doing so. Airplay 2 is still in beta, but it will now remain active after a reboot or power off.
