I'll be at a conference this week, just thought I would check?

Did some searching, I see VegasVec is in LV, but he has not posted in over a year. Not a big deal, I'll most likely be tied up with even festivities anyway. My software vendor really treats you like your the Pres.

If you're still in LV, "motoxpj" just moved into LV and is looking for a second opinion and any advice.

How do you say "We came, we saw, we did a little calibrating" in Latin ? Veni, Vidi, Avia ?

Just got home and it has been a long week with little sleep. Looks like I have lots of posts to start reading.

Didn't get a chance to hook up with any Axiomites, but had a few hot latinos hitting on me until the wee hours of this morning. Had an 8am flight, so getting to the airport 2.5yrs early really sucked. Time to catch some shut eye.

I didn't realize that you swung that way.

Rick, Randy still must have *all* of those 'Hot Latinos' on his mind .... give him a couple of days.

No lie
Posted By: Ken.C Re: Anybody live in Vegas? - 09/21/06 09:44 PM
So I mean, are we talking like the "Soap Opera Star" from the Sprint commercials? Antonio Banderas, what?
Posted By: Wid Re: Anybody live in Vegas? - 09/21/06 09:48 PM

Don't forget, he's from Iowa

Randy,
let this be a lesson to you, never post before getting a proper night's sleep!

I'm sure he's counting latinos in his sleep right now.

You guys are forgetting, what goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas
Posted By: bridgman Re: Anybody live in Vegas? - 09/22/06 12:39 AM
Not this time
Posted By: RickF Re: Anybody live in Vegas? - 09/22/06 12:40 AM
Obviously somebody forgot to pass that little tidbit of information on to Mr. "Where's my hot Latino" Sirquack.

I don't know what's more fun--drunken posts or lack of sleep posts? Either way, when you wake up you have a lot of explaining to do.

Sleep tight, Randy.

Please forgive my ignorance on this, but remember that there are 7 people in New Hampshire of Spanish or Mexican Heritage, and I slept through my "Language" for Travel" class in high school 25 years ago:

I assume "Latino" and "Latina' refer to different sexes?
Posted By: St_PatGuy Re: Anybody live in Vegas? - 09/22/06 01:53 PM
Si.
Posted By: SirQuack Re: Anybody live in Vegas? - 09/22/06 05:32 PM
From Wikipedia - The term "Latino" refers loosely to any person having Latin American background and is often taken to be a synonym with "Hispanic"......"The English language does not distinguish between the male and female genders. This leads many native English speakers to say Latino when referring to a woman."

Maybe I should have used "Latin" females to be politically correct for Ken.

Nah. Far more fun to make fun of you for enjoying the company of the hot, hot Hispanic men.

According to my Hispanic Sister-in-Law, here in Texas, "Meha" means "Little Girl" while "Meho" means "Little Boy"...

Extrapolating from the above it appears (and is used locally) that

"Latina" means "Older Girl or Woman of Latin descent"...and "Latino" stands for "Male of Latin descent" as well as the definition SirQuack found via Wiki.

I guess it depends on where you are in the country...

Viva La Difference!
