Anyone playing this game? Im still blown away by how good the graphics are in HD. Its almost lifelike at times! Online is a blast!

I am a part of EcSGaming.com and there are a lot of die-hard COD4 fans on there. I've played the demo and liked the graphics and effects, but I am pretty sure that my PC won't play multiplayer to the resolution and detail that I would like. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it was somewhat "scripted" in what you can do. I mean, I understand going on missions, but there are points in which you are walking down a street between buildings, and you can't enter the buildings, and they use various obstacles to make sure that you stay on the path and there is some times only 1 path. This seems to be one of the few complaints users have about it, but that is why they get into multiplayer mode where it is more of a free-for-all.

PS. For those not in the "know" about this game, COD4 is Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare.

I did for the 360. Very intense. Didn't try the online thing, though. Not much into online gaming. Which reminds me--a little kid in Best Buy wanted to know if I had COD on PS3 (we were standing in the game aisle). I told him, "no."

I have no idea what the point of that story was. I think it's to say that the last thing I wanted was to get beaten in a game by a 6 year old. I have my dignity.

COD4 is just a pass time until SOCOM4!!!!!!

I play it ohn 360. We mostly play hard core search and destroy. It is a very good game, and probably has the best graphics for a first person shooter on the 360.

I've barely started Call of Duty 4 on the 360, but it's very cool so far. The graphics are very nice, of course, and I'm especially happy with how smooth they made it. I hate when games are beautiful but have tons of stutters. I'd trade detail for smooth animation any day, but they seem to have gotten both with this game.

I'm playing the PC version and the graphics are indeed excellent. The mission where you man the guns on the AC(forgot the number) gunship is ultra realistic. I've seen blogs with people discussing the moral / ethical issues with that mission being so disturbingly real.

Love that map. It is kinda odd that it seems so real ! Its a killing spree for sure and whats with the church not being aloud to be hit? Its almost like a recording from CNN and the dialog is just as disturbing. (Boom ya he's dead)

For anyone not knowing what an ACGUN ship is? Its that plane from the movie Transformers when its shooting at that scorpion transformer from the air and a great distance away to.

I never knew that weapon existed until i saw that movie. How can anyone fight the USA? Crazy shit!

COD4 is a very good game. I (like terghazi) tend to play Hard Core Search and Destroy. However, if you play online (especially a console) be prepared for a lot of harassment from young boys who have not hit puberty yet. The smack talk is less fun and more a lot of f-bombs and homo-this and ... well you get the picture.
Having said that, the single player game was fun, but the online mutliplayer is the real reason to play. Especially building up the achievements.

They are comming out with new maps via xbox live download in the next couple of months.
