I remember where I was. Almost drove off the road in Vancouver BC while listening to the news on the radio.

I was visiting my friend Beau at Duke University; he was the music geek of my high school bunch, got me into Rush, Yes, other prog rock.

Beau made an homage on his dorm room door for Stevie. That's how I - and many Duke students - found out.

I had graduated from college that year and started my first real job. \:\) It was a sad year, that is for sure.

I just picked up Texas Flood today and just finished listening to it before reading this.
