What did Amie and Noreen cook up this time?
(c'mon, Ken, you didn't think we'd let this go unnoticed did you?)
but why would you want to high gloss a half-eaten egg salad sandwich?
It must be preserved for all eternity!
Man, I'll never make it to 10,000 posts....
Just keep typing. Never stop. The voices won't let you stop. You have to keep posting. You can never quit. They won't let you. They're right behind you. Always. Watching. Waiting for you to stop. Must keep going! MUST KEEP TYPING! AAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Hmmmm, what is it that Ken has wanted, he has his sub and M80s, I can't remember does Ken have Audiobytes?
Yes, I won them in the naming contest, then my wife upgraded the finish and bought me the sub for Xmas.
Maybe it's the new speaker Alan mentioned (but really couldn't mention)
Alan mentioned that they're finally using 2x6's design and making their own Frankencenter with upgraded caps in the crossover network?
Could it be a modified set of M22's with Ninja XO's?
I have the weight, but I kinda don't want to look to see what matches.
I don't think they like me that much.
I wouldn't think so either.
Congrats, Ken.....
If you get an ep800 then I am going to start posting A lot.
A whole lot.
If axiom keeps rewarding 10,000 posts everyone will just start posting nonsense in every thread...
Oh wait.... Too late......
silly?
are you trying to reach 2000 before the end of the decade?
I think that if there was a bunch of people spamming the boards with single posts they would put a stop to the free gifts... It's a nice enough gesture that they give gifts out for this so lets not ruin it
By the time I reach 10,000 posts maybe I will get some M 120's or an EP 1600
What did Amie and Noreen cook up this time?
You know, it would be easier to answer that with a better camera angle.
The only way you're seeing Amie is in person. Cameras refuse to function when her face is in frame.
And the suspense continues to build,. Congrats, Ken
I don't know why there is some expectation that Axiom will repeat its gesture. I looked at it as a one-off for the very first person to get to 10K posts: quite generous and a true surprise.
I don't know why there is some expectation that Axiom will repeat its gesture.
Because it was just Peter!
Seriously, though, just doing it once was amazingly kind of them. When I've been here long enough to reach 10,000 posts, I'll just be happy that I found a community online that made me want to stay that long.
Frankly, I had assumed it was just the first person as well, but I didn't want to lift my leg on anyone's Cheerios.
Amie's post seems to point out that I was wrong....

You mean, you DO want to lift your leg on someones cheerios???
I was also somewhat surprised at the generosity of Axiom, after all it is only Ken that came through with the second 10,000 posts, now if it was JohnK I could see it.
I'll be the first to reach 10,000 posts about Regina Spektor, I bet.
Thanks, Jason... love you too.
Punk.
<De Niro>Are you talking to me? Are you talking to me?</De Niro>
Apparently they have arrived.
Ooh ooh, what they be? What they be!!???
I don't know! I know how much they weigh (which I'm not telling, because one of you could look it up and tell me what they are), that they're in 2 identical boxes, and that my son could knock them over. Which puzzles me.
That would certainly be a surprise.
2xT800 in-wall subwoofers?
Alan and Ian bobbleheads?
If they came out with bobbleheads that would be cool, you could put them on the sub and watch them dance.
A pair of high-gloss gold-plated FMBs for your QS8s?
That would be some very heavy bobbleheads...
Without knowing the weight, my best guess is
two boxes of these. I can't imagine a more rare gift from Axiom, and it's something they're sure you don't have already!
Yeah, I think you're right.
Im guessing it is a couple of ground isolators, some banana plugs, and a wrinkled t-shirt that someone returned b/c it was the wrong size. Congrats!

Lets face it, Who WOULDNT be thrilled to get two boxes of mouseballs?
I finally got around to reading the first post in this thread.
Jason. Do those things come with juggling instructions.
Alan mentioned that they're finally using 2x6's design and making their own Frankencenter with upgraded caps in the crossover network?
{snicker}

Absolutely, I've no doubt Axiom wouldn't send a gift like this without complete, thorough instructions.
So, where is Ken? Shouldn't he be home from work by now?
*goes outside*
"KEN!!! KEN!!! Where are you?"
He got distracted. He's playing with the boxes.
Those darn boxes!! So tempting. .
They sent him a jack-in-the-box, and he died of childlike happiness.
I seem to have received something:
First, an explanatory picture:
That's my left M80. Amie pays a lot of attention to all of our posts, so she knew of my current problems. So she sent me some spare woofers and tweeters, in these really neat boxes!
Oh wait...
Them's are boxes.
Oops, now I see them boxes contained speakers!!!
Congrats, Ken! How do you like the M22s?
Congrats, Ken! You've finally attained the real Axiom flagships!
I knew you were going to say that.
Sean: I've listened to them for about 30 minutes, and I'm pretty impressed. It's necessarily at low volume, as my son is asleep, but they sound good, especially for how poorly placed they are (they didn't stay on top of the M80s).
Of course you understand that certain of our members will suggest that they stay right there so that you can enjoy your new M102s.
Very cool.
Soon you'll be our resident expert on the differences in the Axiom speaker line!
I need to see the spines of your books more clearly.
And congratulations on the speakers. I'll probably pick up some M22s at some point for a bedroom system or something. You know, after all of the other necessities like 3 more subwoofers and the rear surrounds.
I need to see the spines of your books more clearly.
Knowing Ken's tastes, they are all Danielle Steel novels.
Definitely.
I am not even going to attempt to get to 10,000 posts in the next 10 years.

Actually no, the M80s and M22s didn't work together, too much midrange, IIRC.
Congrats Ken. Welcome to the M22 club.
Congratulations Ken. Well deserved.
Cool! You may even have fun expirementing with M22 as back surrounds or parallel a lot of sutff together.
Yeah, Cograts Ken!
Could it be a modified set of M22's with Ninja XO's?
Well... Did you open them up to see if a Ninja jumped out at you?
Awww. I wanted to see Ken Juggle. Congrats on the M22s. Have you decided where to put them yet?
I'm thinking the kitchen, but I'm not sure how to get power to them.
I'm thinking the kitchen, but I'm not sure how to get power to them.
Clearly you ned to continue to the 20,000 post mark to receive an A1400...better get working on that.
Hook them up to the microwave.
Man, you guys are lucky I'm here to think of these things. . .
I am not even going to attempt to get to 10,000 posts in the next 10 years.
good call, there is no telling how cool of stuff they will be giving away in 10 years!
The kitchen?? That's only like 20 feet from your M80s. I say keep them in the boxes so they'll motivate you to move into a place with better audio options.
And your teachers always said keeping quiet would get you further in life.
Bren R.
Congratz Ken!
I'm out of humor for the day so I'll just admit jealousy and say that this whole thing is very incredible.
