In this video, a guy explains the US credit crisis my using the metaphor of an Antarctic expedition. Pretty good stuff.
I like the part where the Polar Bears eat the expedition members to ward off their own extinction....
Interesting video.

I see that this guy is a senior editor with Marketplace. That's an excellent radio program. It's probably on your local NPR station every night. I'm a regular listener. Great insights and discussion about the economy and markets, but also offers fascinating stories about business in general.

For an even more in depth yet easy to understand look at the whole economic mess, I would highly recommend the This American Life episodes #355, The Giant Pool of Money and #365 Another Frightening Show About the Economy. They're each about an hour long.

Those two shows gave me a much better understanding of what has happened to the economy and how we got here. For me, far more useful than any of the talking heads I've watched on CNN, MSNBC, etc. If you're interested in all of this mess, but are just a 'civilian' like me, I'd highly recommend them.

Sounds fascinating - I'll have to watch it when I get home. BTW, it's not just the US credit crisis, it's the world credit crisis.
