We lost a pioneer in the music industry today, who knows what the music industry would have looked like without Les Paul.

Wow, I hadn't heard that. It's a huge loss...

I learned about on Facebook, of all places, since I get NPR updates there.

He left quite a mark on the music world.

No doubt, RIP Les

no kidding, I watched a documentary on him not that many years ago, he could still play pretty darn good, even with arthritus.

Les not only had arthritis but he broke his arm in a car wreck and he lost the ability to bend the arm at the elbow. He had the doctor set it at angle so he could continue to play guitar.

Les invented multi track recording amongst a lot of other innovations. He was a unique individual. R.I.P.

Sad news indeed.

He lived a long and remarkable life. RIP
