Originally, I dismissed Patrick as just another "pretty boy." But, years ago, I saw an extensive interview with him (Barbara Walters?) and was quite impressed with him as a person. I don't think of him as a great actor, but I've enjoyed much of his work and admire him for the courage he showed as his life ebbed away.
