As I was waiting for the bus. A thought dawned on me, they never said my name on Romper Room. My name is Graham and as such it is not that uncommon but still to this day I think about them not saying my name when they brought out that magic mirror.

I even watched the show a year or two past my age demography just on the off chance they might say it. I did not watch the say everyday but over the course of time the odds should have said it at least once.

Sorry was a thought then turned into a rant.

Huh?
Posted By: rage96 Re: Deep Thoughts - 11/23/09 09:22 PM
Guess you did not get it so I will make it in point form.

1) Guy thinking while waiting for bus
2) Thinks about childhood
3) thought it was funny this guy still is thinking of this, or is sad one of the two

It was just a random thing that poped in my head and thought that most of the ppl hear might have other funny or stupid stuff they remember when they where a kid or another thing that stands out.

Also it was a kids show in Canada and since some of us are from here you may remember the show also.

I don't remember her ever saying my name either ;\)

I remember this show. It was a kids show in Missouri too. I watched it when I was about 3 to 5 years old. I heard my name mentioned once. I guess this means that I don't have repressed anger issues.

I don't have any repressed anger, but the F5&k'n Be%#tch never mentioned my name either!!!

I remember them saying Graham. As a matter of fact, I remember them saying Jay also.

They never, ever said Adrian, though. They even made it a point, I remember, of saying they never will.

Isn't Deep Thought the computer that came up with 42?
Posted By: MarkSJohnson Re: Deep Thoughts - 11/24/09 12:45 AM
Yes.

Half-Wit was the computer that came up with 21.

Hm. I always assumed that was Black Jack.

If I am not mistaken, Romper Room was broadcast from High Point, NC? That is about 30 minutes from here. If that is the case, I can see if she is still around? Maybe confront her on behalf of all of you repressed pre schizophrenic types? I even know some people who were on the show. They are all happy, well adjusted, fully functioning members of society.

How did they make a point of “saying” they never will w/o saying “Adrian.”

This appears to be a bigger issue than one might have thought.

Romper Room bitch never said my name!!!

Memory fades with age but I’m sure I remember the local Phoenix franchise had an announcer or screen that came up saying to send in your kids name to have it read on the air.

The father of one of my friends worked in marketing department at the phoenix franchise station so I got to go in and sit in an audience and watch the filming of an episode.

Got to be on the The Wallace and Ladmo Show too.

They kept saying "He Who Must Not Be Named" will not be named. Simple deduction to figure out it was Adrian... ;\)

Because Adrian spell backwards sounds like "Thank You Satan."
At least I'm sure it does to whomever was involved in making the latest Oboma conspiracy video.

Another name I don't think she said was Billy-Joe-Jim-Bob, which upset a couple of kids from the Cleatis Clan.

How about the show The Odyssey with that kid in a coma. Is it a dream world or is it real. Only watched the first and second season, so i never found out which. I know this one is not that old but still a good kids show.

Actually, a beached whale is sorta the opposite of deep?
Posted By: Adrian Re: Deep Thoughts - 11/24/09 10:40 PM
That's kinda shallow.

No deep thoughts, (except that Miss Janey [?the Romper Room hostess]was only a picnic away from having her own zip code), but I was very confused on the long drive to my daughter's house for the holidays today.

We were on a 4 lane road in Maryland and there wasn't much traffic. Came around a bend and a sign said "Slower traffic keep right". There was no other car in sight, so I didn't know which lane to use. Finally, I pulled over until another car showed up and I was able to figure out who was slower.

I don't know if the driver was named Adrian though.

Very stressful. ;\)

Do you think Dyslexics are getting the full effect of their alphabet soup?

Interesting question. If you stop and think about it...(sorta the theme of this thread) I would think that alphabet soup for a Dyslexic could be a surreal experience?

One of the local radio stations has this saying as a call in blurb in between commercials, programming etc.

Only took me about a day to get it.
