Here's the newest member of the family... a Cooey Sure Shot with a Mossberg S330 peep sight.

This one's got a history around our club, went from my gunsmith, to one of my friends, to the club president and now to me. It's been converted to cock the striker on bolt closing rather than having to pull the striker knob (that's what she said!).

Shot it last night, seemed to really like Winchester T22 LRs and Super-X shorts, putting together a ragged hole of 5 that I could cover with my pinky nail at 20 yards. It shunned the Lapua match ammo I tried in it. This Canuck working man's firearm isn't impressed by snobby Finnish precision ammo I guess.

Have to break out the Hoppes tonight and give it a good cleaning, though.

Dude, that's nothing. My pinky nail can cover the moon at over 384,000 kilometers.

Ah yes, Bren, the Cooey was a real institution in Canadian firearms, at least according to John Belton's book. Shoot straight.
