I notice the 360 power brick gets quite warm as well. I make sure to keep it off the rug for better ventilation. All good advice in that link.

Sounds like good advice for all electronics.
I would add one more. No liquids in spilling distance of the electronics cabinet. A friends co-worker spilled a drink and took out a receiver and I think DVR in one shot.
