Canadian Beavers Are They Really Better than American Beavers?

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/05/04/enormous-beaver-dam-visible-space/
The word was "bigger", and I don't think that's better.

I'd like to see some closer pics.

The text itself refered to neither better, nor bigger, but rather, longer. Are these errors entirely compensatory?

Anybody ever see the terrific documentary "Beavers?" It is visually stunning, quite interesting, and very entertaining. It lost a little of it's luster when I found out that it was all scripted (i.e, they used beaver actors), but it is still worth viewing.

If you have (youngish) kids, I'd bet they would enjoy it.

Reminds me of the old TV show "Wild Kingdom". They staged much of their footage.

Marlin Perkins: "OK, Lions! You're up next! I want to see fangs, and lots of growling....got it!"

Lion: "I'm a little confused with the story line here...What's my motivation?"
Jeeez... "method lions".... \:\)

"They create a habitat with lots of water like a moat around their lodges so they can swim and drive, and keep one step ahead of predators such as coyotes and bears."

I want to see these beavers drive. They must use amphibious vehicles, I bet that is how they are able to stay ahead of predators so easily, it must also make checking out the dam easier ;\)
I was sitting on my back porch today and noticed that an employee of the business next door was sitting in a chair in their back parking lot getting some sun. What she couldn't see was the beaver that came out of the little stream and kept sneaking up closer and closer, then scurrying away, then sneaking up again. It was pretty funny for the time that I watched it, and when I went back to my lunch, I kept expecting to hear a sudden shriek. She never saw it though.

I'm due to watch Caddyshack.

Nothing like a beaver versus beaver highlight reel in person

Further evidence of Canadian Beaver superiority.

World's Largest beaver Dam Discovered....

Edit: Doh! Picture link won't work. You will have to read the article.
Isn't that the exact same dam as the first post?

What lens were using to capture all that? \:\)
Was the beaver trying to figure out a way to use the employee in the dam? It probably decided the employee looked too lazy to worth a dam!

This huge beaver dam is actually a covert training ground to train our rodents for world domination...Muu-aa-ha-ha-ha!!

See the beginnings of beaver terrorism in this story here.
