I just saw that, too. I think he had one of the greatest, if not _the_ greatest, voice in hard rock/metal.
I'll be cranking some Dio in the morning... when I can turn it up!

Bummer.
Got to see him in the early 80's. He was solo, just after Black Sabbath. IIRC, YNT, Dokken and Quiet Riot opened for him.
Guess he crossed that Rainbow Bridge in the dark...

Yes, having had the pleasure of seeing Ronnie on 2 occassions - as Dio, and as part of Black Sabbath - he was a great talent that will be missed

10-4 on one metal's greatest voices and performer. Glad I have Heaven & Hell live Radio City Music Hall in NYC. RJD RIP.
